How It Started

I don’t know why I love architectural terra cotta. It’s something about the texture and the crispness and the color and the detail and. . . everything! I started photographing architectural terra cotta in 2012, when I was working part-time and had afternoons free. When I fully retired in 2016 I had all day to engage in my obsession. I have driven the wrong way down one-way streets (by accident), bounced through a zillion potholes, and made many U-turns in search of the next beautiful piece of terra cotta.  I know I haven’t found it all and can’t wait to make the next discovery!

Special thanks to my husband for joining me on my terra cotta treasure hunts and for prodding me to create this website.
